JSW MI has expanded its operations with the opening of the New Steel Service Center in Bhagapura, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The opening ceremony was held on November 29th, 2023, in the presence of esteemed customers and business partners.

The opening of this new facility marks JSW MI’s commitment to meeting the growing steel demands in the Gujarat region.  The state-of-the-art service center is equipped with one Slitter Line and two Cut-to-Length lines that can process various flat steel products, including HRPO, CR, GI/GA, Color coated and Electrical steel. The Ahmedabad facility has a total processing capacity of over 200,000 MT per annum.

During the event, Mr. Makoto Ishitani (President & CEO – Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc), Mr. Sharad Mahendra (CEO – JSW Coated Products Limited), Mr. Sanjay Jayram (Chairman – JSW MI), and Mr. Yusuke Miki (Joint Managing Director – JSW MI) shared the success story of JSW MI. Also, they talked about the objective of setting up a service center in Ahmedabad and further plans for future expansions.

The senior delegates also highlighted JSW MI’s desire to fulfil the increasing demands in the steel sector by further expansions in the future. With this new service center along with existing facilities at Pune, Palwal and Chennai JSW MI eyes to reach processing capacity of 1.5 Million MT per annum by Fy 2023-24.
